My Sick Family
Abby and Matthew are both sick today so they are probably going to be spending the day in bed. Matthew will get his share of Lady and the Tramp and Nemo, I'm sure. There is one good thing about sick days - they are a time to slow down and appreciate the blessing of good health. Hopefully though my little sickies will wake up well in the morning!

Updated Pictures
Hey Everyone,
I've been so bad about posting lately so here are some pictures from the last several weeks. We've just been busy living life... we've had some family and friends come in town and we've done some fun things with our wonderful friends from church.
I'm starting to feel little baby boy move around more which I love, of course, and Matthew has gotten to feel him a few times too. Yesterday we bought Abby a little baby boy doll which she named Baby Boy Abby. She has suggested that we name her little brother Abram - we love the name but it's already taken in our family!
Enjoy the pictures!

It's A BOY!
We found out last week that the next addition to the Reyes family is a little boy. We are thrilled! Abby was so cute at the sonogram - little baby boy was rubbing his eyes and Abby said, "Look, he's waving at me!" Thankfully everything looks great - we appreciate all of your prayers and please keep praying for a healthy boy and a healthy pregnancy. Thank you!
Some other things to be thankful for...
- We have so many friends that live in the Houston/Galveston area and we are thankful that they are all okay after the hurricane.
- We celebrated Matthew's 29th birthday on Friday. We are so thankful to be blessed with such an amazing daddy and husband. Happy Birthday, Matthew!

Aunts & Uncles - We Love Them!!!
Ode to the Aunts and Uncles...
Aunt Kristine and Uncle Chris came for a visit this past weekend and of course we had tons of fun. Matthew and I were reminded that Abby - and our new little one when he or she arrives - have the most amazing aunts and uncles ever. You couldn't ask for better ones - all of our brothers, sisters and brothers and sisters-in-law love our child so much and take such an interest in her life. We are so thankful for the blessing you are in our lives. We look forward to the next time we get to see you all again...some of you it will be a longer time than others (poor Uncle Scotty is in Italy for the next year).
I feel like no post is complete without a picture or two so here are a couple recent ones.

Our Trip Up North
Those of you that have known me awhile know that our family's lake house on Burt Lake in northern Michigan is one of my most favorite places in the world. When I was younger our family would spend two weeks "up north" each summer where some of my most cherished childhood memories were made. Abby and I got to spend last week up north with family and had a wonderful time. We missed Matthew of course and were happy to come home to him after being away for a week.
Some of the best things about being up north:
1. Weather - We got to spend almost all day everyday outside in 75 -80 degree weather.
2. Listening to the water lap against the lake shore - is there a more peaceful sound? I can't think of one.
3. Relaxation - As Becki said best this past week, when you come up north all of your worries just go away and you can completely relax.
4. The grass and flowers - The grass is so soft and the flowers are absolutely beautiful.
5. Boat rides on a huge, gorgeous lake.
6. Traveling to a place where everything just gets more beautiful year after year - all the same families have owned the same cottages for generations and they really do get more beautiful each year but at the same time stay so familiar.
7. Getting to spend time in a very uncommercialized part of the country...
I don't think this list does it justice but it really is a special place to our family.
Me (yes, I look more pregnant than 4 months!), Abby, Auntie Becki, Abram, Mom and Hannah (Uncle B's wonderful girlfriend) making Hannah's delicious cinnamon rolls.
Hannah, Uncle B and Abby on a jet ski ride - it was just a little cool that morning!
Cousin Lisa and Auntie Becki on the boat.
Abby and Captain Pop.

Uncle B and Hannah with the kids by the pier at Harbor Springs (and adorable little northern Michigan town).
Ben and Me - we took a picture just like this in this same place when I was 16 and Ben was 9!
Our little Baylor Bears in their double stroller - looking back at this picture I don't think they were that happy at the moment.
Cousin Tommy had the great idea of letting the kids play on this keyboard - they spent hours making music.

Family Time
Matthew went fishing in Arkansas last weekend with his dad and brother while Hootsie, Aunt Karen and Cousin Cason came to visit us in San Antonio. Abby did all her cute tricks for the family and we were thankful to have the time to catch up with each other. We sure did miss Matthew though and Abby was thrilled when we got to pick him up from the airport on Sunday night - I was so thankful to have my man home, too!

Abby and Daddy coloring...did I mention she was happy to have him home?
