Glory to God!

Dear Friends and Family,
I am sure most you have heard by now but if not I wanted to let everyone know our story and that by the grace of God our family is okay. On Friday afternoon Abby, Jacob and I went to get the mail - our neighborhood has those cluster mailboxes at the end of the street. Abby was riding her tricycle and I was pushing Jacob in the stroller. A lady (under the influence of something) jumped the curb in her car and hit me as well as Jacob's stroller - thankfully Abby was out of the way. Jacob's stroller fell over and his head hit the ground. He was unresponsive and an ambulance took all three of us to the hospital. By the time we arrived at the hospital Jacob was more responsive but a CT scan indicated bleeding on his brain (a subdural hematoma) and we were admitted to the hospital so Jacob could be monitored. With the exception of minor cuts and bruising, I was just fine so Jacob was our concern. Jacob became more responsive as Friday wore on and thankfully since then has not showed any sign of complication. He spent Friday, Saturday and all Saturday night being monitored. The doctors believe the absence of abnormal behavior indicates the blood was absorbed back into his brain. The doctors discharged us today with the instructions to continue to watch Jacob closely and bring him back if he acts in any way abnormal. We are back home now and sweet baby boy is sleeping peacefully in his own bed as I type this. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. Please continue to pray for healing for Jacob and that there will continue to be no complications. Glory to God for His protection of our family!
Love,
Matthew & Naomi

He is a joy and we are all in love with our little man. Here are a few recent pictures of our babies.

Easter Celebration Fun!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! We spent Friday and Saturday in Temple with family. Matthew's parents were able to join us on Saturday for our Easter celebration. So fun! We spent Easter Sunday in San Antonio - we went to church, then out to lunch with some special friends from church and then headed home for a relaxing afternoon with our precious children. We are so thankful for God's many blessings in our life! Here are a couple of pictures from the weekend...

This is how Daddy and Jacob spent the egg hunt. Thankfully Abby was able to collect all of Jacob's Easter eggs.

Our two-month-old
Jacob David is such a wonderfully good-natured and loving baby. We are blessed by our family's newest addition. We love you, baby boy!

Jacob Meets Friends in T-Town!

The kids and I spent last weekend in Temple. My best friends gave Jacob a Sip & See so that our friends in Temple could meet our little man. It was wonderful to see everyone and I loved introducing Jacob to some of the special people in our life. Jacob loved his first trip to Sleepy Hollow and getting to spend the weekend with family. Abby and Annie were reunited and as always loved getting to play together.

Abby and Annie playing dress up. Some lucky guy got to take me to some high school dance in the formal dress Abby is wearing. Ha!ha!
