Happy Days of Summer!

We are having an awesome summer so far!  It's been so fun and full of activity that I haven't even sat down to blog since it started.  Let's start at the very beginning...

Abby is officially a first grader. Our girl had a wonderful kindergarten year and spent the month of June telling me each day how much she missed her classmates and her beloved teacher. We are thankful for the blessing of a school that Abby loves so much!

Over Memorial Day weekend we had our dear friends from San Antonio, the McHale family, come and visit.  We loved our time with our friends and could not be more thankful for their friendship.  Matt is in the Air Force and will be finishing up his general surgery residency next summer - we are working hard to talk the McHales into putting Tinker Air Force Base (located in OKC) at the top of the list of where they want to be stationed next.

I wish I could express how these two have the EXACT same sense of humor!

I love this girl - time with her is just good for the soul!

Happy 4th of July!
Every summer (and often it's sometime around the 4th of July) we meet up with Matthew's college roommates and their families.   Matt and Adam are some of Matthew's best friends and now their wives - Katie and Katie - are some of my dearest friends.  We always seem to just pick up where we left off.  This year we spent the 4th of July in an amazing place - at a huge ranch in Texas with an 11,000 square foot lodge.  We fished, played, watched movies, talked and ate lots of yummy food.  It was so much fun.

Safety Town!

Abby and her sweet friend Ella participated in Safety Town, a fun program about safety put on by the City of Norman Police Department.
